Brad began his broadcasting career in the mountains of southwest Virginia, working for the Emmy Award winning HokieVision and Virginia Tech Athletics.
During his six years with the organization, he was a go-to for all creative services for the department – producing weekly shows, behind-the-scenes features and assisting marketing initiatives. He also was a Virginia Tech Football Video staff member for legendary coach Frank Beamer during their run of multiple ACC Championships and BCS Bowl appearances.
While producing non-live content was Brad’s first passion, this soon changed as he played a pivotal role across 300+ broadcasts for ESPN and the ACC Network. From producing to directing to camera operating to graphics and more – Brad gained experience in what it took to put on a successful broadcast from all angles.
This newfound passion in live sports led him to Austin, Texas where he worked for eight years at FloSports. During this time, Brad’s leadership was felt internally and externally as he led multiple facets of the Broadcast and Operations departments. While part of the Live Production team he produced more than 125 events for the NCAA, Nike, Big 10, Big 12, USA Wrestling, AAU, and many more. His range of expertise includes traditional to growing sports (Jiu Jitsu, Track, Marching, Rodeo, Cheerleading, etc.).
Brad was pivotal in growing FloSport’s broadcast capacity by creating and launching its freelance producer operation. Brad grew and managed a group of 100+ rotating freelance producers where he oversaw training, quality control, travel, budgets, and more. This passion for fostering positive relationships with contractors grew into overseeing the Crewing Department for FloSports. Brad grew and managed the day-to-day operations of 7,000+ contractors, including on-air talent, freelance producers, and live crews.
