Tawfiq Rahman’s has an endless number of stories he can talk about from his broadcasting experience.

From drone shots of nuclear power plants to video feeds of the inside of a human heart each have contributed to his passion for television production.

Tawfiq’s 27 years of broadcasting started out at a local electronics company eventually moving to television stations. Tawfiq’s technical capabilities quickly became highly sought after. He was elevated to hold leadership roles at Ekushey Television Limited, BBC World Service, and finally, Ekattor Television, the first Full-HD 24/7 News Station in Bangladesh, his home country. It was there that he designed a full broadcast facility and its workflow from the ground up. In just 3 months it became the highest rated TV channel in the country.

Tawfiq has designed and integrated multi-camera studios and provided professional training for BBC broadcast teams. He was responsible for end-to-end oversight of multimedia projects for the American Embassy Dhaka, US Marine Corps, Department of Justice, Prime Minister’s Office in Dhaka and the National Heart Foundation and Research Institute in Dhaka.

In his rare downtime, Tawfiq enjoys delving into radio communication. He is a licensed amateur radio operator and is the current president of Amateur Radio Society of Bangladesh.
