Prepping for the annual NAB Show in Vegas is almost as exhausting as attending the event. There’s so much to see, but not nearly enough time to see it all. As BMG prepares to embark on yet another visit to Sin City, we’ve put together a short list of exhibitors we’re most excited to check out.
See you on the floor.
Teradek
Teradek offers some great wireless video and encoding products. We’ve used their Bolt wireless systems on a few of our live productions as well as their Cube encoding system. We’re excited to see what other products they’ll have on display.
Black Magic
Black Magic makes a wide range of products that are handy both in the studio and on remote productions. We own a few of their Hyperdeck’s for managing recordings in the field, but they also have a wide range of cameras, monitors, converters and production switchers. We look forward to checking out their newer products.
AJA
Where would we be without AJA converters? Their Hi5’s and HA5’s are a staple in our live production toolkit. We’re looking forward to hitting up their booth to see what new production resources might be applicable for our remote productions.
Ross
We’re in the middle of a few studio build-out projects for various clients. We plan to stop by the Ross booth to get some demo’s on their Carbonite switcher and Xpression graphics system.
Streaming / Encoding
Much like drones in 2015, we’re anticipating to run into a lot of live streaming and encoding services at this year’s NAB show. We’re planning to check out Encoding.com, Telestream and Telescope. Most of our recent projects have been live to the web, so we have a heavy interest in new advances in streaming and encoding technology.
Outdoor / Mobile Media Pavilion
The Mobile Media Pavilion is one of our favorite places to explore since a good amount of our time is spent in production trucks. Over the years, we’ve established relationships with some satellite and production truck vendors that we’ve met at NAB’s outdoor pavilion. It’s also a great way to enjoy some brief sunshine while meandering between exhibition halls.
