The US State Department contracted Broadcast Management Group to provide broadcast consulting services for a studio facility upgrade at their global broadcast center in Washington, DC.

Broadcast Management Group was responsible for the evaluation, design, and oversight of the installation and integration of networked video servers, automation systems, video production control systems, editing systems, audio consoles, and video over IP encoding. Our broadcast consulting team completed the project in 3 phases: phase 1 consisted of an initial needs analysis, phase 2 consisted of the equipment procurement, and phase 3 consisted of the system integration and testing. The State Department also asked our consulting team to develop a technical solution that would allow D.O.S. operations across the country and oversees to be able to produce and distribute content in a consistent manner. The involved coming up with a way to tie D.O.S. facilities to their master broadcast center in Washington, DC and developing a proposed equipment package for D.O.S. remote operations to ensure consistency across each location.

In addition to their facility upgrade, the State Department also asked Broadcast Management Group to provide production staffing and organizational structure recommendations. The State Department wanted our broadcast consulting team to look at their broadcast and digital content divisions and make suggestions on integrating both divisions into one central department. This included developing new proposed organizational charts and suggestions on new technical personnel that may needed.
