Barnes Vanze Architects contracted Broadcast Management Group to provide broadcast consulting and system integration services for a studio facility build-out project for their client, the Seventh Day Adventist Church, at their corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. Barnes Vanze Architects, who did not have an expertise in designing broadcast facilities, was looking for an outside production consulting partner to provide guidance on the project. The Seventh Day Adventist Church was looking to relocation their existing production studios, edit suites, and audio recording booth to a new location within their existing building. Our broadcast consulting team worked directly with BVA and with the church to map out the infrastructure needs and equipment requirements.
Our broadcast consulting team worked closely with the BVA team, making recommendations on HVAC systems, electrical requirements – including generators and UPSs – data cabling, server room infrastructure, lighting grid construction, and general production facility layout, including control rooms and edit suites.
In addition to consulting with BVA on the facility design and infrastructure, Broadcast Management Group consulted directly with the Seventh Day Adventist Church on their production facility needs and requirements. Our broadcast consulting team worked with the church on developing an equipment budget, making recommendations on production equipment, developing a plan, schedule and budget for the broadcast engineering, technical design and installation of all equipment, and developing a schedule for completion and installation.
