A major US brokerage firm contracted Broadcast Management Group to provide broadcast consulting, production staffing, creative services, and system integration for the launch of a new OTT network. It was to be a groundbreaking project – no similar OTT network existed – so the brokerage firm contracted Broadcast Management Group after hearing of our extensive experience in launching OTT networks. The broker firm contacted us in February and the goal was to have a soft launch in August with a full live network launch by October 2017.

Our broadcast consulting team started with the facility design, which included construction, installation, and training. We then developed the operating plan, including the integration of remote locations. Broadcast Management Group worked with the brokerage firm’s counsel (in house and out of house) along with their compliance department to address any workflow compliance challenges.
Our broadcast consulting team designed and oversaw the construction of the studio set and lighting and provided creative services, including on-air graphic design, and a graphics package for each show. Broadcast Management Group developed a network transmissions and broadcasting plan, including live closed captioning.
We also provided full production staffing services for the network, including recruiting the entire creative and technical staff and trained the firm’s financial experts to be on camera anchors and contributors. Throughout the process, our broadcast consulting team kept the brokerage firm in the loop through regular executive presentations on the project status. Broadcast Management Group also participated in several network strategy sessions.
The result is an OTT network that meet all objectives, delivered within an aggressive 9-month timeframe. The brokerage firm now produces 9 hours of live daily financial content using a fraction of the staff required with traditional networks.
With our broadcast consulting team at their side, the brokerage firm became the first-to-market in OTT network in their industry.
