BMG was contracted by The Hill, owned by Nexstar Media, to reformat its daily flagship show, Rising.
BMG was tasked by The Hill in January 2023 to consult and spearhead the reformatting of its daily political flagship show, Rising, in an effort to increase viewership.
As part of the project, BMG developed a fresh on-air broadcast graphics package which included such elements as a new color palette, logo design, show open, lower thirds and show backgrounds.
Additionally, BMG assessed current production workflows and equipment in order to best execute Rising’s reformatting as well as maximize the output of the network’s control room to efficiently deliver five hours of daily programming with the existing production staff.
Upon completion of BMG’s engagement, Rising had its biggest viewership month in over a year, with an average of 875,000 viewers per day tuning in to the show in April, setting a 15-month high in viewership. In addition, Rising also saw 80% growth in plays year-over-year, topping nearly 20 million plays in April 2023.
