Broadcast Management Group was contracted to produce a 120-minute live broadcast, which included a 90-minute pre-show followed by a 30-minute interview with Francis Ford Coppola, the director and producer of Megalopolis. The interview was hosted by Dennis Lim and featured panelists Robert De Niro and Spike Lee.
BMG provided full turnkey production services for this comprehensive set, shoot, and strike production, including all crew and production technology, lighting, scenic power, and distribution.
Broadcast Management Group delivered complete production services, including the full production team led by Todd Mason, who produced and directed. BMG handled uplink services, camera operations, lighting, and scenic design, broadcasting the event live to theaters nationwide using LTN encoders with a backup satellite feed. RMU 2, BMG’s on location truck, was deployed for the production, with additional support from BMG’s remote engineering team.
The broadcast featured 1 manned camera and 3 PTZ cameras, 4 handheld microphones, an IFB, talent lighting, scenic lighting, front-of-house sound, a generator, and a satellite truck to ensure seamless execution.
