At MINExpo 2024, Hexagon Mining partnered with BMG to transform its 7,000-square-foot exhibit space into a live production environment for presentations, panel discussions, product demonstrations, livestreams, and attendee engagement.

BMG supported the seven-day project with engineering design, production technology, lighting design, camera systems, audio, livestreaming, convention center logistics, and a full technical production team.

The result was a booth that operated more like a live event venue than a traditional trade show exhibit, anchored by a 15-foot LED wall, a seven-camera production system, and more than 100 flown moving lights.

The Challenge: Building a Live Event Environment Inside a Trade Show Booth

Hexagon Mining needed its MINExpo presence to do more than display products on the show floor. The booth needed to attract attendees, support live programming, create a strong visual presence, and give Hexagon a professional platform for presentations, panels, demonstrations, and livestreamed content throughout the event.

A Booth Built for Programming

Hexagon’s 7,000-square-foot exhibit space needed to function as a presentation venue inside a busy convention hall.

That required a main stage, LED display, camera coverage, audio, lighting, livestreaming, and production support that could handle a changing event schedule.

Visibility on a Crowded Show Floor

MINExpo brings together major companies, large exhibits, heavy equipment, and high attendee traffic.

BMG needed to help Hexagon create a booth environment that stood out visually and gave attendees a clear reason to stop, watch, and engage.

Technical Execution Across Seven Days

The project required more than a one-day setup.

BMG had to coordinate equipment, labor, engineering, convention center logistics, lighting, audio, video, livestreaming, and technical support across a seven-day project window.

The Solution: A Turnkey Trade Show Production System

BMG delivered a complete production technology solution that turned Hexagon’s booth into a functional live event space.

The production combined a main stage LED environment, multi-camera coverage, livestreaming, audio, lighting, and a full technical team responsible for planning, setup, operation, and support.

Main Stage and LED Wall

BMG supported the main stage with a 15-foot LED wall that served as the visual centerpiece of the booth.

The stage hosted panels, presentations, live shots, and product-focused programming, giving Hexagon a dedicated platform for thought leadership and attendee engagement throughout MINExpo.

The LED wall helped create a branded presentation environment that could be seen across the show floor while supporting the content needs of each live segment.

Multi-Camera Production and Livestreaming

BMG deployed a seven-camera production system to capture live programming from the booth.

The camera package included one ENG camera, four PTZ cameras, and two POV cameras, giving the production team flexible coverage of the stage, presenters, panelists, product moments, and attendee-facing content.

BMG also supported livestreaming from the booth, extending the value of Hexagon’s MINExpo presence beyond the people physically inside the convention center.

Audio and PA Support

BMG provided a complete audio setup and PA system for the main stage.

This ensured presenters, panelists, and live programming could be heard clearly by attendees in the booth while also supporting the audio needs of the livestream and recorded content.

Lighting Design and Visual Impact

Lighting played a major role in shaping the booth experience.

BMG deployed more than 100 flown moving lights to create an engaging visual environment, support the main stage, enhance the booth’s presence, and bring energy to presentations and panel discussions.

The lighting design helped Hexagon’s space stand out on the MINExpo floor while giving the stage a polished live event look.

Technical Management and Production Staffing

BMG staffed the project with a full production and technical team to support planning, setup, operation, and execution.

The team included a director/technical director, production manager, engineer in charge, E2, event producer, technical manager, lighting designer, lighting assistant, lighting programmer, gaffer, robotic camera operator, audio engineer and assistant, LED engineer and assistant, graphics operator, utilities, and production assistant.

This staffing model gave Hexagon the technical oversight and live production support needed to operate the booth as a professional event environment across the full engagement.

Impact

BMG helped Hexagon Mining turn its MINExpo booth into an active live event destination.

The combination of a main stage, LED wall, multi-camera production, livestreaming, audio support, and more than 100 moving lights created a booth environment designed to attract attendees and support meaningful engagement throughout the show.
