Prime Video’s inaugural Obsessed Fest transformed nya Studios in Los Angeles into the ultimate destination for fans of its most popular young adult titles. Throughout the day, attendees experienced exclusive first looks, celebrity appearances, immersive fan activations, live programming, and unforgettable moments designed to celebrate the passionate communities behind Prime Video’s YA slate.
To extend that experience far beyond the venue, Prime Video streamed the entire event live on TikTok from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM PT, giving fans around the world a front-row seat to every reveal, panel, performance, and surprise.
As Prime Video’s creative and technical production partner, BMG transformed Obsessed Fest from a one-day fan event into a premium social-first entertainment broadcast. By combining creative show direction, distributed REMI production, mobile production, custom engineering, and multi-camera storytelling, BMG architected an end-to-end production ecosystem that not only delivered a polished 7.5-hour livestream but also empowered Prime Video to amplify key moments across social media in real time.
Obsessed Fest demanded more than traditional event coverage, it required a production ecosystem capable of serving three audiences simultaneously: the fans inside the venue, the viewers watching the livestream, and the social audiences engaging with content as it happened.
BMG designed and orchestrated a production model that blended creative leadership, distributed technical operations, mobile production, and custom engineering into one seamless workflow capable of supporting every layer of the experience.
BMG Founder and CEO Todd Mason directed the production on site, collaborating closely with Prime Video to shape the creative rhythm of the livestream from opening moments through the final sign-off.
Across seven and a half hours of continuous programming, Mason orchestrated camera coverage, talent entrances, audience interactions, live performances, and transitions between segments, ensuring the broadcast maintained momentum while preserving the spontaneity and excitement that made the event unique.
Rather than simply documenting the festival, BMG crafted a viewing experience that kept online audiences engaged while complementing the energy inside the venue.
BMG deployed its RMU-1 mobile production unit at nya Studios, establishing the operational hub for the entire broadcast.
Positioned at the heart of the production, the mobile unit enabled real-time camera coordination, production management, communications, and live show execution while keeping creative leadership embedded within the action.
Capturing Obsessed Fest required more than stage coverage. It demanded a production strategy capable of telling the complete story of the event which spanned across a talent arrival carpet, the main stage as well as three additional stages across the nya Studios campus.
BMG engineered an 14-camera workflow featuring:
This flexible camera complement captured every dimension of the experience, from celebrity arrivals and live performances to fan activations, audience reactions, backstage moments, and exclusive programming, allowing directors to transition seamlessly between planned segments and spontaneous moments without sacrificing production quality.
While creative leadership remained on site in Los Angeles, BMG leveraged its distributed REMI production infrastructure to expand technical capabilities across the country.
Technical direction, graphics, replay, and audio mixing operated from BMG’s Network Operations Center in Washington, DC, while additional replay resources were integrated from BMG’s New York spoke facility.
By connecting production teams across Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and New York City, BMG created a unified broadcast environment that delivered enterprise-level production capabilities while maintaining the flexibility and efficiency of a distributed workflow.
Recognizing that today’s live events are measured by both broadcast viewership and social engagement, BMG’s engineering team designed a custom workflow that gave Prime Video’s remote editorial team immediate access to the live production feed.
Instead of waiting until the event concluded, teams of editors were able to identify, clip, package, and publish standout moments while the livestream was still underway.
This custom-engineered workflow enabled exclusive reveals, celebrity appearances, fan reactions, and major moments—including Jennifer Lopez’s surprise introduction of the Off Campus panel and live performances—to move seamlessly from the broadcast into social feeds in real time, helping Prime Video maximize audience engagement while the conversation was happening.
By integrating live production with real-time content distribution, BMG extended the value of every moment beyond the livestream itself.
BMG transformed Prime Video’s inaugural Obsessed Fest into a multi-platform entertainment experience that reached audiences far beyond the venue.
Supporting more than 1,000 fans on site and 850,000+ concurrent livestream viewers, BMG combined creative direction, distributed REMI production, mobile production, custom engineering, and broadcast operations into a single integrated production ecosystem.
Beyond delivering a premium seven-and-a-half-hour livestream, BMG’s custom engineering workflow empowered Prime Video’s editorial teams to publish compelling social content in real time, extending the reach of celebrity appearances, exclusive reveals, and surprise moments while the event was still unfolding.
The result was more than a successful livestream, it was a scalable production model that demonstrated how live fan experiences can become premium digital entertainment, expanding audience engagement across broadcast, social media, and live event platforms simultaneously.
