In This Case Study:
Taco Bell’s inaugural Live Más Live event was designed as a direct-to-consumer brand experience during Super Bowl week, combining product reveals, fan moments, celebrity appearances, and live performances into one global livestream.
BMG partnered with Little Cinema and Taco Bell to produce the live broadcast from Wynn Las Vegas, providing the broadcast producer, director, technical crew, equipment, REMI workflow, transmission services, and cloud-supported distribution needed to bring the event to viewers around the world.
Overview: A Live Production Built for Global Reach
Live Más Live was Taco Bell’s first live fan event and one of the most visible experiential marketing activations of Super Bowl week.
The event gave fans an inside look at Taco Bell’s 2024 plans, including new menu items, exclusive partnerships, fan awards, and live entertainment. Hosted from Wynn Las Vegas, the broadcast featured performances by LP Giobbi, Omar Apollo, and Armani White, along with appearances from Davis Burleson and brand ambassador Davante Adams.
BMG’s role was to turn that in-room brand experience into a polished 60-minute live broadcast, supporting both the onsite production environment and the global livestream audience.
BMG Main Services
The Challenge: Producing a Fast-Moving Brand Event for Global Viewers
Live Más Live had to work as both an in-person fan experience and a polished livestream. The production needed to capture entertainment, product reveals, celebrity moments, stage activity, and audience energy while maintaining reliable transmission and distribution to viewers around the world.
Live Entertainment and Brand Moments
The event combined music performances, fan awards, product reveals, host segments, and brand storytelling. The production workflow had to move quickly between different types of live content while keeping the show polished and on schedule.
Venue-Based Production Requirements
Producing from Wynn Las Vegas required a full on-site broadcast setup, including cameras, communications, video switching support for LED walls, teleprompter, downstage monitors, production internet, and a client video village.
Global Livestream Delivery
The event needed reliable encoding and distribution to multiple platforms. That required dependable transmission, real-time monitoring, and coordination between onsite teams and remote production support.
Reduced Onsite Footprint
To support the production efficiently, BMG used REMI and cloud-connected workflows to move select crew roles offsite while keeping the core onsite production focused on capture, event execution, and venue coordination.
The Solution: Full Live Broadcast Production with REMI Support
BMG managed the creative and technical execution of the live broadcast, providing the broadcast producer, director, technical staffing, onsite equipment, transmission services, and REMI workflow required to support the show from capture through distribution.
Broadcast Production and Show Execution
BMG supported the live broadcast with creative development of the run-of-show, broadcast producing, directing, switching, technical coordination, crew management, and event communications.
This ensured the livestream could follow the pace of the live event while capturing the key product reveals, performances, host moments, and audience interaction built into the show.
Multi-Camera Event Coverage
The production used a multi-camera broadcast setup designed for a fast-moving stage environment.
BMG provided five Grass Valley WorldCam cameras, including a 30-foot jib and four PTZ cameras. This gave the production a mix of dynamic stage coverage, audience views, controlled angles, and flexible venue coverage throughout the 60-minute broadcast.
REMI Mobile Unit and Cloud Control Center Support
BMG deployed REMI Mobile Unit 1 to support the onsite production while extending parts of the workflow through BMG’s Cloud Control Center™.
This allowed select production roles, including teleprompter operator, encoding engineer, playback operator, and line producer, to support the event remotely. The workflow helped reduce the on-site footprint while maintaining centralized production oversight and communication between onsite and remote teams.
Connectivity, Transmission, and Distribution
BMG provided the on-site internet access, broadcast connectivity, encoding, and transmission services required for the livestream.
The workflow supported distribution to two platforms/destinations, while also providing the infrastructure needed for production communications, monitoring, LED wall video switching, teleprompter, downstage monitors, and the tented client video village.
Impact
Taco Bell’s Live Más Live event became one of the most visible experiential marketing activations of the year, generating over 7.1 billion media impressions and reaching over 65,000 concurrent livestream viewers.
BMG’s production model helped turn a live in-person brand event into a global direct-to-consumer broadcast. By combining onsite broadcast infrastructure with REMI and cloud-supported workflows, BMG delivered a polished livestream while reducing unnecessary onsite complexity.
For Taco Bell and Little Cinema, the result was a high-profile live event that reached fans beyond the room and extended the impact of the activation across digital audiences worldwide.
