Big Bootie Land Chicago brought Two Friends’ festival-style concert experience to Huntington Bank Pavilion in front of a sold-out crowd of nearly 10,000 fans.
BMG was brought in to produce and direct the 90-minute livestream, capturing the scale of the venue, the movement of the crowd, the energy of the artists, and the visual style of the Big Bootie Land series for fans watching beyond the venue.
The production combined creative show direction, a 12-camera capture plan, our REMI mobile unit on-site in Chicago, audio mixing from BMG’s New York spoke facility, and live streaming support from the Cloud Control Center™ in Las Vegas.

The Challenge: Making the Livestream Feel Like the Event
The goal with this was not to simply document a concert. The livestream had to translate the pace, scale, crowd energy, and visual intensity of Big Bootie Land into a live experience for fans watching worldwide.
Capturing the Scale of the Venue
With nearly 10,000 fans at Huntington Bank Pavilion, the production needed to show the size and atmosphere of the event without losing focus on the artists and stage action.
Covering a Fast-Moving Live Show
Concert livestreams move quickly. The production needed to follow performances, crowd moments, lighting changes, playback elements, and on-stage activity in real time.
Managing Latency in a Hybrid Workflow
BMG’s REMI workflow typically supports technical directing from the Cloud Control Center™, but this event required a different approach. The team needed the efficiency of distributed production while keeping switching response time tight enough for a fast-moving live show.
Capturing the Crowd in the Audio Mix
The audio mix needed to carry the music while still bringing in the atmosphere of a sold-out venue. That meant capturing crowd energy without overpowering the front-of-house music mix.
The Solution: Creative Direction Backed by a Distributed REMI Workflow
BMG designed the production around the energy of the live show, combining on-site creative control with remote technical support across Chicago, New York, and Las Vegas.
Creative Show Execution
BMG developed the broadcast run of show and provided the producer and director for the livestream. Award winning director Todd Mason directed the live broadcast on-site in Chicago, making real-time creative decisions around camera pacing, performance coverage, crowd reaction, and the overall feel of the show.
That creative direction was critical to making the livestream feel like the event itself instead of a passive recording of the stage.
Multi-Camera Concert Coverage
A 12-camera system was deployed to capture the full scale and atmosphere of the performance.
The camera package included:

- Handheld camera

- Jib system

- PTZ robotic cameras
Local Switching with REMI Support
BMG produced the event on-location using RMU-2 as the mobile production hub in Chicago.
To keep switching responsive, BMG integrated a switcher panel locally while still using remote support from the Cloud Control Center™ in Las Vegas. This gave the production team the timing needed for a fast-moving concert while maintaining the efficiency and redundancy of BMG’s REMI workflow.
Remote Audio and Streaming Support
The audio mix was handled from BMG’s spoke facility in New York, where the audio engineer received a front-of-house split and added five FX microphones to capture the crowd.
In Las Vegas, BMG’s EIC managed live streaming and provided remote audio and communications support through the Cloud Control Center™.
Impact
BMG delivered a 90-minute livestream that brought Big Bootie Land Chicago to fans watching beyond the venue while preserving the feeling of the sold-out live event.
The broadcast captured the artists, crowd, stage design, and festival atmosphere through a creative multi-camera approach supported by BMG’s mobile and REMI production workflow.
