World Resources Institute, Land & Carbon Lab, and the Bezos Earth Fund launched AI, Meet Nature to introduce a new AI-powered environmental monitoring platform built to help policymakers, researchers, and conservation leaders better understand changes in land and nature data.

The event, held at Arena Stage’s Kogod Cradle in Washington, DC, brought together live demonstrations, expert commentary, and panel discussions to show how AI can turn global environmental data into real-time tools for decision-making.

BMG supported the launch with live production, event technology, display systems, streaming, engineering, and on-site production staffing, helping turn a highly technical platform introduction into a polished live experience for both in-person and remote audiences.

WRI is deeply grateful to Broadcast Management Group for their outstanding support in producing our launch event, AI, Meet Nature. From managing the full production and live stream to coordinating the LED screen installation, their team delivered with professionalism, precision, and creativity. Their expertise helped bring our vision to life and ensured a seamless experience for both in-person and virtual audiences. We truly appreciated their partnership and look forward to future collaborations.

The Challenge: Making a Complex Technology Launch Clear, Visual, and Live

AI, Meet Nature needed to do more than introduce a new platform. The event had to help audiences understand why the technology mattered, how it worked, and how it could support real-world environmental decision-making.

That required a production approach that could support live demos, panel conversations, presentation content, in-room engagement, and remote viewing without letting the technology overshadow the message.

Translating Complex Subject Matter

The platform addressed major environmental issues including deforestation, land rights, ecosystem restoration, and global nature monitoring. The event needed to present that work in a way that felt clear and accessible to a live audience.

Live Demonstrations and Presentations

The show included platform demonstrations and presentation content that needed to be displayed clearly in the room and captured cleanly for the livestream.

In-Room and Remote Audience Experience

The production had to support attendees inside Arena Stage while also giving remote viewers a reliable, polished way to follow the presentations, demos, and discussions.

Venue-Specific Technical Execution

Arena Stage’s Kogod Cradle required a production setup tailored to the room, including camera placement, LED display support, monitors, audio, lighting, streaming, and technical staffing.

The Solution: A Live Production System Built Around the Message

BMG designed the production workflow around the event’s core purpose: helping the audience understand the platform, follow the conversation, and experience the launch as a polished live program.

Multi-Camera Live Production

BMG provided three professional cameras and lenses for multi-angle coverage of the event.

The camera setup supported presentations, panel discussions, speaker moments, and live demonstrations, helping the program move smoothly between content formats throughout the show.

Display and Presentation Support

BMG deployed a 12-foot LED video wall as the main visual centerpiece of the event.

The team also provided two 42-inch downstage confidence monitors and four 75-inch display monitors to support presenters, panelists, and audience visibility throughout the venue.

Custom Video Flight Pack

BMG built the event around a custom video flight pack that included switching, playback, encoding, and recording capabilities.

This gave the production team the technical control needed to manage presentation content, camera coverage, live streaming, and event recording from one integrated system.

Livestream and Encoding

BMG supported live streaming for the event’s presentations and demonstrations, extending the launch beyond the room to a global remote audience.

An encoding engineer was part of the on-site team to support reliable streaming and delivery throughout the program.

On-Site Production Staffing

BMG staffed the event with the production and technical team needed to execute the show on site, including a technical director/director, engineer in charge, technical manager, production manager, encoding engineer, A1 audio engineer, robotic camera operator, LED operator, lighting director, PowerPoint operator, stage manager, and utility technicians.

That crew structure allowed BMG to manage the live show, technical systems, presentation flow, display support, and streaming workflow throughout the event.

Impact: A Platform Launch Designed for Understanding and Reach

BMG helped World Resources Institute, Land & Carbon Lab, and the Bezos Earth Fund launch AI, Meet Nature through a live event that made a complex technology platform easier to see, follow, and understand.

The production supported the full event experience, from the visual impact of the LED wall to the clarity of the livestream, giving both in-person and remote audiences a polished view of the presentations, demos, and conversations.

For WRI and its partners, the event created a professional launch environment for a platform designed to help address major global challenges in land use, nature monitoring, and environmental decision-making.
