As live production continues to evolve through REMI workflows, cloud production, and hybrid event models, clients may have similar questions as they plan their broadcasts.
Below are answers to some of the most common FAQs we receive at Broadcast Management Group.
1. Do you provide both in-person and remote/hybrid production?
Yes. We fully support in-person productions, fully remote REMI workflows, and hybrid models that combine on-site teams with production from our Network Operations Center (NOC).
What sets us apart is that we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach.
Every production is designed around the client’s specific needs, goals, and technical environment. Some clients require full turnkey execution with on-site crews, while others benefit from a highly centralized REMI model that minimizes travel and on-site infrastructure.
BMG evaluates factors such as event type, venue constraints, budget, audience reach, technical complexity, and existing internal resources to build the right workflow.
Whether we are on-site or running the entire production from our NOC, the experience is customized to deliver consistent broadcast-quality results.
2. Can you integrate with our existing AV setup or in-house team?
Absolutely. We regularly integrate with client-owned AV systems, in-house production teams, and venue infrastructure.
Our role can range from full end-to-end production to expanding the client’s existing capabilities with specialized engineering, transmission, or control room support.
3. What’s your redundancy plan? What happens if an encoder or feed drops?
Redundancy is built into every layer of our workflow.
We deploy backup encoders, diverse transmission paths (including bonded cellular, fiber, and IP), and cloud-based routing through our Broadcast Network Operations Center (NOC).
If a feed or device fails, redundant systems automatically take over to maintain continuity without interrupting the broadcast.

4. Do you own your equipment or rent it?
We own and operate a vast, end-to-end inventory of broadcast-grade equipment.
This includes REMI mobile units, customized flight packs, industry-standard camera, lighting, staging, and audio gear including a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center with Tier-1 Production Control Rooms (PCRs), Audio Control Rooms (ACR) and Master Control (MC), enabling turnkey live production without third-party dependencies.
When appropriate and there’s a need for any specialty equipment, BMG will rent from trusted partners.
Owning equipment provides a significant benefit to ensure we have time to QA and test prior to any event. And an added benefit to our NOC is that we can pre-load creative assets well before show day.
5. Would it be helpful to perform a site visit to the venue?
Yes—whenever possible. Every venue is unique and presents its own challenges. Being able to walk the space in advance allows us to identify any roadblocks or challenges well in advance.
A site visit allows our engineering and production teams to evaluate infrastructure, signal flow, staging areas, camera positions, and connectivity options.
This helps us design a more efficient and reliable workflow ahead of show day.
6. Can you provide graphic packages to elevate the production value?
Yes. We offer custom graphics packages including lower thirds, transitions, full show packages, branded templates, and real-time data integration.
Our creative team can also align graphics with client branding or event themes to enhance overall production quality.
7. Have you worked with venue unions before?
Yes. We are experienced working in union and non-union environments and understand the importance of compliance, coordination, and communication with local labor teams.
We ensure smooth collaboration with venue requirements and union regulations when applicable.
In addition, BMG also provides studio production services, offering fully equipped or client-integrated studio environments for live broadcasts, remote production, and hybrid workflows.
This allows us to support productions across venues, studios, and remote setups with a consistent level of technical expertise and operational control.

8. What platforms can you stream to?
We can distribute content to virtually any major streaming platform or CDN, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, corporate streaming platforms, and custom RTMP destinations. This includes 16:9 and 9:16 formats.
We also support simultaneous distribution across multiple platforms to maximize audience reach.
Beyond live streaming, BMG also offers Channel Playout & Transmission Services through our private cloud platform.
This enables fully managed channel operations with playout, transmission, distribution, VOD, and 24/7 NOC monitoring.
From single events to always-on channels, BMG provides a scalable, end-to-end distribution solution that simplifies operations while ensuring reliability and reach across FAST, OTT, CTV, satellite, and IP networks.
9. How quickly can we get a recording of the event?
Turnaround time depends on the scope of the production.
In many cases, a basic recording can be delivered shortly after the event, while fully edited versions or highlight packages may take longer depending on post-production requirements.
10. Can you provide captions?
Yes. We support both live captioning and post-event captioning.
Live captions can be integrated into broadcasts for accessibility compliance, while recorded captions can be delivered in multiple formats for web, social, and archival use.
Final Thoughts
Every production is different, but the goal remains the same: deliver reliable, broadcast-quality live content with flexibility, scalability, and technical precision.
Our approach is built around adapting to client needs while ensuring broadcast-level performance every time.
