Atomic TV saw that there was a need for an HD mobile production truck in the growing the Las Vegas market. With Broadcast Management Group’s system integration team based in Las Vegas, Atomic TV was able to have their vision of a 30’ HD production trailer become a reality. The system was built around older equipment, requiring a complete engineering evaluation on how the equipment would interface with each other. Some of the equipment had to be repaired prior to being installed in the trailer. The system included 8 HD GVG cameras, 120 x 120 video router, Chyron graphics system, RTS intercom system, 8 channels of replay, 8 ISO recorders, a 40-channel audio mixer with Dante, monitors, and conversion equipment. Broadcast Management Group engineers can often be seen on this mobile unit serving as the Engineer in Charge during live productions.
Broadcast Management Group’s VP of Engineering and Production Engineer took the lead on the completion of the Atomic TV remote production truck. Working from Broadcast Management Group’s Las Vegas office, our engineering team created all technical drawings and cabling lists. With a plan in place, our engineering began working around the clock to create, terminate, and test cables and install all necessary equipment for completion of the mobile unit. As a live production company, our system integration team understands all the needed components for an OB truck.
