Emmy winners would report to IMDb’s set after accepting their awards for brief interviews, which were either recorded as live-to-tape packages or live segments of the post-show. BMG also recorded live-to-tape interviews from the red carpet which were clipped from our mobile unit and later rolled into the live show.

Additionally, BMG had a 3-camera set-up at the Governor’s Ball, the official Emmy’s after party. Our host at the Winner’s Walk would through to our correspondent at the Governor’s Ball for live check-ins and interviews during the post-show.

Project Overview

IMDb contracted Broadcast Management Group to produce a live post-Emmy’s special following the 69th annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, CA. “IMDb LIVE After the Emmys” featured a 4-camera interview set at the Winner’s Walk located at the JW Marriott in downtown LA as well as positions at the red carpet and Governor’s Ball.

IMDb’s team created hundreds of graphics and facts related to each Emmy nominee. These graphics were quickly pulled up and played out live as Emmy winners were announced. BMG was responsible for all technical management, technical staffing, transmissions and encoding, venue logistics, set design and lighting. The 60-minute program was streamed live to Twitter, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
